👋 About me

I am a master’s student in Electronic Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, supervised by Prof. Guo Lu. I expect to graduate in March 2027. Before that, I received my bachelor’s degree in Communication Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2024, where I was advised by Prof. Peng Yang.

🎯 Research Interest

Image and Video Compression, Neural Image Compression, Video Analytics.

My work explores learned image and video compression, including the distortion–perception tradeoff, trainable quality metrics, and lossless image compression. I have also worked on bandwidth-efficient edge video analytics.

🔥 News

• 2026: Papers at ACM MM (Oral), ECCV, TCSVT, TIP, TBC and ISCAS, plus LoViF workshop reports and an arXiv preprint. Interned at ByteDance from June to August.
• 2025: Papers at AAAI, ISCAS and VCIP; received the National Scholarship; started a Huawei collaboration on ultra-low-bitrate facial video coding.
• 2024: Graduated from HUST and started my master’s studies at SJTU with Prof. Guo Lu. Began research on neural image and video compression.
• 2023: Published my first-author paper at IEEE ICC 2023 and completed my research internship with Prof. Peng Yang at HUST.
• 2022: Started a research internship with Prof. Peng Yang at HUST, working on bandwidth-efficient edge video analytics.
